Perhaps it looks dull or swirled in the sun, even straight after a wash. Maybe you’re thinking about a ceramic coating but aren’t sure who to trust with a car you care about, or whether it needs a polish first.
A coating is only as good as the paint underneath it. Put one on in a hurry, over paint that hasn’t been prepared, and the marks get locked in. You end up protecting a finish you didn’t want to keep.
Ceramic coating is most of what I do, and it’s what I’m known for around Chester and Cheshire. Every coating starts with a safe wash, decontamination and at least a single-stage machine polish, so the paint is right before anything goes on. The coating is then cured indoors under IR lamps, and when you collect I’ll show you how to wash it safely at home.
The result is deeper gloss, water that beads and rolls off, and a car that’s much easier to keep clean. A coating won’t stop stone chips and isn’t scratch-proof, and I’ll always tell you that up front.
My personal guarantee lasts for as long as you own the car, as long as it has a yearly maintenance visit (5 years if the visits stop).

Once it’s done, regular care keeps it that way. Maintenance Care Valeting is from £85 on a plan, every 4 to 6 weeks, and at least once every change of season. Coated Car Maintenance is from £75, with a Six-Monthly Top-up from £150, and a one-off car valet is from £95. Mobile valeting is available too. Detailing and coatings are done at the studio.
Motorbikes, motorhomes and boats are priced on assessment.

Left alone, swirls and dullness usually get worse with every wash. Done properly, the gloss comes back, it’s easier to keep clean, and you’ve got a detailer you can trust with it again.

Usually, yes: every ceramic coating I do includes at least a single-stage machine polish, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath. If the paint has deeper swirls, I’ll tell you whether more correction is worth it.

A car valet cleans the car inside and out, while detailing goes into the paint itself with paint correction and ceramic coating. A one-off car valet is from £95.
